Yes - its been over a year since I've posted anything
but
I have been diligently painting almost every day - I have this set done and the FF range also just about ready.
And I have been significantly exceeding my at-least-one-preslotta-figure-a-week painting goal
Cheers
Caius
Beautiful, what a wonderful collection you have made.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! Love the old pre-slotta stuff. Can't wait to see the FF range - painted a few of them myself

Spectacular, very nice, I just need to get my finger out and follow suite, however I have a number to buy/track down first.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive!! I have a few of them painted, hopefully someday I'll finish that many. I am a bit conflicted about the basing. I really like how you did it, but am also somewhat partial to leaving the integral bases. Have you described your process anywhere?
ReplyDeleteHi Jon - My basing process link (though actually I'm now casting bases with a ready made recess):

Richard Hale and I have debated basing at length - his collection leaves the original bases - and mounts each figure on a black washer. His FA collection is here:

It a personal choice in the end - Mine nearly doubles the time spent on each miniature - and because of that I am reluctant to recommend it.
Cheers, Caius
I love your painting, it's a great source of inspiration for me, many thanks. I hace one regret, I would like more shots of each mini, from different angles (or at teast face and front).
